TALKING EAR is a five-piece progressive music ensemble based out of the Midwest, committed to providing a unique experience for listeners through composition, collaboration, and improvisation. The band consists of vocalist Estar Cohen, guitarist Daniel Palmer, pianist Benjamin Maloney, bassist Ben Rolston, and drummer Travis Aukerman. Each musician has a distinct voice as an accomplished composer and performer, contributing to an exciting and versatile, yet particularly cohesive sound.

THE HARLOW HUNTON DUO is an experimental Midwestern keys-and-drums band committed to thoughtful exploration and frenetic psychedelic immersion. Drawing on unsettling dreams, the sci-fi writings of Ursula Le Guin and a rich tradition of Chicago based textural improvisations, they blend punk energy and modern-jazz intricacies to bring forth something satisfying and distinctive.

Josh Harlow (keyboards) and Emerson Hunton (drums) first met in the fall of 2012 while attending Oberlin Conservatory, and connected over a shared love of freely improvised music. Since then, they have collaborated regularly in groups large and small. They are dedicated to cultivating an inclusive and dynamic environment for all participants in their performances.
